These lanyards are made from durable aircraft cable and are typically attached to pins and other fasteners to prevent loss. Used as tethers for components and also used as door restraint cables.
Pivot Point standard Cable Lanyards are made from 7 x 7 aircraft cable-chosen for its strength and flexibility. Stock sizes are available in galvanized or stainless steel cable, bare or coated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or nylon. PVC coating is more popular because of its appearance, flexibility, and low cost. Nylon offers more durability and abrasion resistance.
