The Pickering Electronics Series 200-1-C-5/3 is a surface mount reed relay featuring a change-over switch configuration. It is designed to handle a power rating of 3 watts at a maximum switching voltage of 200V. The relay has a maximum switching current of 0.25 A and a maximum carry current of 1.2 A. It is encapsulated in a high-temperature plastic package that can withstand the conditions of infrared or vapor phase reflow soldering processes. The relay also boasts an insulation resistance greater than 10^12 ohms and is 100% tested for dynamic contact resistance. The special high temperature plastic package will withstand the temperatures associated with Infra-red or vapour phase reflow soldering processes. A flexible inner encapsulant protects the sensitive glass/metal reed switch seals - this is a very big advantage over the more usual hard moulded package.
