The Series 200 is a surface mount reed relay for high-speed digital switching and RF applications up to 5GHz, available in dry or mercury wetted configurations. The 200-1-A-12/4D variant features a 12V coil, 1 Form A contact (energize to make), and a high-voltage dry switch rated for 10 watts at 500V. It is packaged in a plastic enclosure with internal mu-metal shielding for side-by-side mounting, and its dimensions are 17.25mm x 15.25mm x 6.0mm. The relay has an insulation resistance greater than 10^12 ohms, an operate time of 0.5ms, and a release time of 0.2ms. The package is compatible with infrared and vapor phase reflow soldering.

Both dry and mercury wetted switches are available in a wide range of configurations including coaxial types for RF up to 5GHz, or high speed digital switching with a step response time of less than 30ps. The special high temperature plastic package will withstand the temperatures associated with Infra-red or vapour phase reflow soldering processes. A flexible inner encapsulant protects the sensitive glass/metal reed switch seals - this is a very big advantage over the more usual hard moulded package.
