The Pickering Series 105 is a range of single-in-line reed relays with an internal mu-metal magnetic screen for high packing density without magnetic interaction. This part, 105-2-A-5/2, is a two-form-A dry reed relay with a 5 V coil and low-level switch type (Switch No. 2), rated for 1 A switching at 20 W. It has an insulation resistance greater than 10^12 Ω, a typical contact resistance of 0.15 Ω, and a capacitance of 2.5 pF across the open switch. The relay operates in 0.5 ms with a 0.2 ms release time and a typical life of 10^9 operations under low-level switching conditions. The package follows a standard SIL footprint with pin 1 at the top, designed to be compatible with mercury wetted versions without PCB modification. Maximum dimensions are 19.1 mm × 6.6 mm × 7.9 mm. An internal diode is not fitted.
The Series 105 is a range of Single-in Line reed relays, available with a wide variety of switching confi gurations and switch types, including mercury wetted versions. They feature internal mu-metal magnetic screens which allow high packing density without the risk of magnetic interaction problems.
The Pickering Series 100, 101, 103, 106, 107 and 108 all have the same pin locations as the Series 105. If a reduced coil power is desired, please consider our Series 100 and 101 which may be driven directly from CMOS logic. If a higher packing density is required, smaller devices are available in other Pickering SIL ranges.
