Pickering Electronics Series 100 100-1-A-5/2D

Description
The Pickering Series 100 is a complete range of Single-in- Line (SIL) reed relays primarily intended for direct drive from 4000B CMOS or NMOS logic or similar low current sources. The mercury wetted relays in the range may be driven directly from TTL logic. They are also useful for applications where conservation of current is important, for example, battery powered equipment. The extremely low level of thermal EMF, about 1 microvolt or less, of the dry versions make them ideally suited to applications such as data acquisition or thermocouple switching. An internal mu-metal magnetic screen is fi tted to avoid the effects of magnetic interaction between relays.

Powered by GS/AI

The Pickering Series 100 is a range of single-in-line reed relays designed for direct drive from CMOS or NMOS logic, with low power consumption suitable for battery-powered equipment. The 100-1-A-5/2D variant features a 5V coil with an internal diode, a dry Form A switch rated for 10 W at 200 V, contact resistance of 0.12 Ω, insulation resistance greater than 10¹² Ω, and capacitance of 3.5 pF across the closed switch and 0.1 pF across the open switch. It has a thermal EMF of approximately 1 µV or less, an operate time of 1.0 ms, and a life expectancy of up to 10⁹ operations under low-load conditions. The relay includes an internal mu-metal magnetic screen and is packaged in a plastic case with a footprint compatible with other Series 100 variants. Pin configuration follows the standard SIL layout with terminal spacing of 0.1 inch (2.54 mm).
