SOA-6440-10 is a thru-hole threaded standoff designed for use in aluminum sheets with a hardness rating of HRB 50 or HB 82 or less. This self-clinching standoff installs into round holes and becomes permanently mounted in sheets as thin as 0.040 inches. It features a thread size of #6-32 and a length of 0.625 inches. The standoff is made from hardened steel, providing durability and strength for various applications. An optional nickel plating is available for enhanced corrosion resistance, making it suitable for environments where corrosion is a concern. The SOA series is specifically recommended for applications requiring reliable mounting, spacing, or stacking of panels and components.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
PEM® brand thru-hole threaded standoffs are installed with their heads flush with one surface of the mounting sheet.
