SOA-6116-12 is a thru-hole unthreaded standoff designed for permanent installation in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 inches (0.63 mm). It utilizes a self-clinching design, allowing it to be pressed into properly sized round holes. This standoff is suitable for applications requiring mounting, spacing, or stacking of panels and components. It is recommended for use in aluminum sheets with a hardness of HRB 50 or less. The SOA series is particularly noted for its compatibility with softer materials, making it ideal for lightweight assemblies. Custom sizes are available upon request, and optional nickel plating can be provided for enhanced corrosion resistance.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
Unthreaded standoffs are also available for spacing multi-panel assemblies.
