SOA series through-hole threaded standoffs are designed for clinching into aluminum sheets with a Rockwell B hardness of 50 or less and Brinell hardness of 82 or less. The part SOA-3-5M3-16 has a thread size of M3.5 x 0.6 and a length of 4 mm, with a minimum hole size of 3.9 mm and a minimum distance to edge of 4.8 mm. These standoffs install flush with the sheet surface and are suitable for spacing or mounting applications in thin aluminum sheets.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
PEM® brand thru-hole threaded standoffs are installed with their heads flush with one surface of the mounting sheet.
