SO4™ thru-hole threaded standoffs are designed for permanent installation into stainless steel sheets up to HRB 88 / HB 183 hardness, with a minimum sheet thickness of 0.63 mm. They feature a flush-mounted head and provide internally threaded spacers for stacking or spacing applications. The M3 thread size has a recommended hole size of 4.22 mm, an installed height of 4.8 mm, and a minimum distance to edge of 6 mm. Variants with increased wall thickness, such as 6M3, are available for enhanced performance.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
Types SO4 standoffs are for installation into stainless steel sheets as thin as 1.02mm.
