SO-8169-12ZI is a thru-hole unthreaded standoff designed for permanent installation in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 inches (0.63 mm). It utilizes a self-clinching design, allowing it to be pressed into properly sized round holes. This standoff is suitable for applications requiring the mounting, spacing, or stacking of panels and components. It is recommended for use in steel or aluminum sheets with a hardness of Rockwell B scale 80 or less. The standoff is made from hardened stainless steel and can be optionally nickel plated for enhanced corrosion resistance. Custom sizes are available upon request, and installation guidelines can be found on the manufacturer's website.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
Unthreaded standoffs are also available for spacing multi-panel assemblies.
