SO-440-18ZI is a through-hole threaded self-clinching standoff for mounting, spacing, or stacking panels in metal sheets. It installs into sheets with a minimum hole size of 0.040 inches and requires a minimum distance of 0.187 inches from the edge. The part has a thread size of 1/4-20 (0.112-40), is made from hardened stainless steel, and is intended for use in stainless steel sheets with a Rockwell B hardness of 88 or less. Its length is 0.562 inches. It is available with nickel plating for corrosion resistance if specified with an NC suffix. The part mounts permanently with the head flush to the sheet surface.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
