PEM® FH, FHS, and FHA flush-head self-clinching pins are designed for permanent installation in aluminum, steel, or stainless steel sheets as thin as 0.020 in (0.51 mm). They install by pressing into a properly sized hole, causing the sheet material to flow around the annular groove and head, creating a high torque-out and pushout resistance. FH pins are recommended for sheets with hardness up to HRB 80 and HB 150, FHS pins for up to HRB 70 and HB 125, and FHA pins for aluminum sheets up to HRB 50 and HB 82. These pins are flush-head and available unthreaded on special order.
PEM® self-clinching studs are installed by placing them in properly sized holes in the sheets and squeezing into place with any standard press. The squeezing action embeds the head of the stud into the sheet. The metal displaced by the head flows smoothly and evenly around the ribs and into the annular groove – creating a flushhead assembly and securely locking the stud into the sheet with high torque-out and pushout resistances.
FH (flush-head) studs are available in aluminum, steel, or stainless steel . They are also available unthreaded on special order.
