The DSOS-440-250 is a threaded standoff designed for close-to-edge applications, utilizing a self-clinching design that allows for permanent installation in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 inches (0.63 mm). This standoff features a round, knurled head that facilitates clinching closer to the edge of the sheet, making it suitable for applications where space is limited. It is made from hardened stainless steel, providing durability and resistance to corrosion, with an optional nickel plating available for enhanced protection in corrosive environments. The standoff is compatible with various sheet materials, including stainless steel, and is recommended for use in sheets with specific hardness ratings. Custom sizes can be ordered upon request, making it a versatile choice for engineers needing reliable mounting solutions.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
