Blind Threaded Standoffs BSOS-M3-6 from PennEngineering® are designed for applications requiring permanent mounting in thin metal sheets, with a minimum thickness of 0.025 inches (0.63 mm). These standoffs utilize a self-clinching design, allowing for easy installation into properly sized round holes. The BSOS type features blind threads, ensuring that the outer surfaces remain flush and closed after installation. They are suitable for use in various materials, including stainless steel, and can be ordered with optional nickel plating for enhanced corrosion resistance. The standoffs are available in custom sizes upon request, making them versatile for different engineering needs.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
When blind-threaded types are used, outer sheet surfaces are not only flush, but closed as well.
