The BSOS-832-12 is a blind threaded standoff from PennEngineering® designed for use in applications requiring secure mounting, spacing, or stacking of panels and components. This standoff features a self-clinching design that allows for permanent installation in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 inches (0.63 mm). It is made from hardened stainless steel, providing durability and resistance to corrosion, especially when used in environments that may be corrosive. The standoff has a thread size of 8-32 and a length of 12, making it suitable for various assembly needs. The installation process involves pressing the standoff into a properly sized round hole, resulting in a flush outer surface. Custom sizes are available upon request, allowing for flexibility in design requirements.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
When blind-threaded types are used, outer sheet surfaces are not only flush, but closed as well.
