The PCE-IT55 is an isolation meter for measuring insulation resistance up to 2000 MΩ at test voltages of 250 V, 500 V, and 1000 V, with additional capability to measure AC and DC voltage up to 750 V and 1000 V respectively, and resistance up to 2 kΩ. It features a dual backlit display, automatic shutdown, overload indication, and a warning whistle triggered at test currents below 200 mA for resistances ≤40 Ω. The device operates on 6 AA batteries, measures 200 × 92 × 50 mm, and weighs 700 g. It complies with IEC 61010-1 and is rated CAT III 1000 V. The unit is supplied in a carrying case and includes factory calibration with optional ISO certification available.

CAT III 1000V / for insulation resistance up to 2000 MΩ The PCE-IT 55 Insulation Tester determines insulation resistance up to a maximum of 2 000 MΩ (for auxiliary voltages of 250, 500 and 1000V). This Insulation Tester also offers the ability to measure alternate and continuous currents up to a maximum 750V / 1000V and resistance up to 2 kΩ. Includes test current and a warning whistle. Readings can be stored by pressing a single key. The device meets with these standards: DIN 57 411 part 1 / VDE 0411 part 1, protective measures for electronic devices (IEC1010-1) and DIN VDE 0413 (Insulation Tester). It comes calibrated from the manufacturer and an optional laboratory calibration and ISO certificate can be ordered separately for annual recalibrations.
