Certified application in EX environments
The rodless pneumatic cylinders of Origa Division Europe are the first linear drive units, which are EX certified in the group of equipment II, Category 2 GD. For detailed information on how to use pneumatic components in EX-Areas, see leaflet A5P060E "EU Directive 94/9/EG (ATEX 95) for Pneumatic Components."
Protection class IP64 protected linear drives
If linear drives come into contact with sugary or other sticky fluids during operation, there is a risk that parts of the drive, such as covers or guides, will jam, especially after long periods of downtime. In the best case scenario, the resulting functional failures will necessitate extensive cleaning. Origa Division Europe has developed a solution to protect the complete range of linear drives, including their system accessories, making them ideal for use in damp, dusty, cleaning-intensive environments.
In order to achieve the protection required against penetration by spray or other substances, the complete Clean Design drive, including its accessories such as guides, sensors and travel measurement systems, has been installed in a modular, stainless steel housing. A driver provides the connection between the linear drive and the customer's equipment; during its stroke it passes through a special type of seal system.
