The UAA2016DG is a power management integrated circuit designed for driving triacs using the Zero Voltage technique, enabling RFI-free power regulation of resistive loads. It operates directly from the AC power line and is particularly suited for applications such as electrical heating systems, including panel heaters and irons. The device features a built-in digital sawtooth waveform that allows for proportional temperature regulation within a ¬±1 ¬8C band around the set point. Key functionalities include a programmable temperature reduction feature for energy savings, a sensor failsafe that inhibits output pulses if the sensor connection is lost, and the ability to set a preset temperature for specific applications like defrosting.
