The NOA1213 is a low power ambient light sensor designed for handheld devices, featuring an analog current output. It operates within a voltage range of 2V to 5.5V and has a quiescent current consumption of less than 200 pA in power down mode. The sensor utilizes proprietary CMOS technology from ON Semiconductor, which includes dynamic dark current compensation for improved signal-to-noise ratio and wide dynamic range. It can detect ambient light levels from approximately 0 lux to over 100,000 lux, making it suitable for various applications including mobile devices, cameras, and digital signage. The device offers three selectable output current gain modes, allowing for flexibility in sensitivity, and consumes less than 14 µA at 100 lux in medium gain mode.
