The MOC215-M is a surface mount phototransistor optocoupler with a gallium arsenide infrared LED optically coupled to a silicon phototransistor, housed in a standard SOIC-8 package with 0.050 inch lead spacing. It provides 2500 Vac (rms) input-output isolation voltage and supports ambient operating temperatures from -40°C to +100°C. The current transfer ratio is guaranteed minimum 20% at 1.0 mA forward current and 5.0 V collector-emitter voltage. It has a collector-emitter voltage rating of 30 V, continuous collector current of 150 mA, and is compatible with reflow soldering. The device is UL and VDE recognized for safety compliance.
