The MM74HCT138 is a 3-to-8 line decoder designed using advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology, making it suitable for memory address decoding and data routing applications. It features three binary select inputs (A, B, and C) that determine which of the eight outputs will go LOW when enabled. The device includes two active LOW and one active HIGH enable inputs (G1, G2A, and G2B), facilitating easy cascading with other decoders. This decoder is characterized by high noise immunity and low power consumption, with a typical propagation delay of 20 ns. It can drive up to 10 low power Schottky TTL equivalent loads and is compatible with TTL input levels.
