The MC74HC4051DR2 is an analog multiplexer/demultiplexer utilizing high-performance silicon-gate CMOS technology. It features fast switching and propagation speeds, low ON resistance, and low OFF leakage currents, making it suitable for controlling analog voltages across a wide power supply range from 2.0 to 12.0 V. The device is designed for compatibility with standard CMOS outputs and can be used with pull-up resistors for LSTTL outputs. This part allows the selection of one of eight analog inputs/outputs to connect to a common output/input, with all switches turned off when the Enable pin is HIGH. The device exhibits improved linearity and lower ON resistance compared to metal-gate counterparts, along with low crosstalk between switches and diode protection on all inputs/outputs.
