The MC33035PG is a high-performance brushless DC motor controller designed for open-loop control of three or four-phase motors. It features a rotor position decoder for accurate commutation sequencing and includes a temperature-compensated reference capable of supplying sensor power. The device operates within a voltage range of 10 to 30 V and incorporates several protective features such as undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and internal thermal shutdown. This controller supports typical motor control functions including speed control, direction reversal, and dynamic braking. It is compatible with electrical sensor phasings of 60¬8/300¬8 or 120¬8/240¬8 and can also control brush DC motors when paired with an external MOSFET H-bridge. The MC33035PG is available in a PDIP-24 package and is suitable for automotive applications, being AEC-Q100 qualified and PPAP capable.
