The FOD785 series is a 4-pin DIP phototransistor optocoupler with a gallium arsenide infrared LED driving a silicon phototransistor, designed for digital logic isolation and signal transmission. It features a dual in-line package with a case size of 6.50 mm pitch and meets UL1577 (5,000 VACRMS for 1 minute) and DIN EN/IEC60747-5-5 (850 Vpeak working insulation voltage) safety standards. The series includes the FOD785A variant with a current transfer ratio (CTR) of 80-160% at IF = 5 mA and VCE = 5 V, and all variants support an operating temperature range of -55°C to +110°C with a maximum power dissipation of 200 mW. The FOD785ASD variant is an SMT version with lead bend and tape-and-reel packaging, sharing the same electrical and safety characteristics as the DIP series.
