The FAN7314M is a high-efficiency LCD backlight inverter drive integrated circuit designed for use in applications requiring power management. It operates within a wide input voltage range of 5V to 25.5V and features a ZVS half-bridge topology, which enhances efficiency during operation. The device supports soft dimming and includes a precision voltage reference trimmed to 2%, reducing the number of external components needed for implementation. This IC is capable of PWM control at a fixed frequency, with a typical operating frequency range between 30kHz and 250kHz, depending on the characteristics of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) and transformer used.
