The FAN6604MLMX is a highly integrated PWM controller designed for use in flyback converters and general-purpose switch-mode power supplies (SMPS). It features high-voltage startup capability and includes protections such as AC input brownout protection with hysteresis, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and internal open-loop protection. The device operates with a low current consumption of 1.5 mA and employs a Green-Mode function to minimize standby power by reducing the switching frequency under light-load conditions. The FAN6604MLMX supports frequency hopping to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) emissions and includes a built-in soft-start function to limit inrush current. It also features a maximum gate output voltage clamp of 13 V to protect external MOSFETs from over-voltage damage. The device is available in an 8-pin SOP package and is suitable for applications requiring compliance with international power conservation standards.
