The FAN5646UC01X is a programmable LED driver designed for efficient blinking or "breathing" LED indicators. It features a high-side constant current output with a maximum current of 20 mA and a low dropout voltage of 80 mV, allowing for direct LED driving without the need for inductors or switch capacitors. The device operates within a wide input voltage range of 2.7 to 5.5 V and has a quiescent current of only 35 ¬µA, which contributes to extended battery life in portable applications. The FAN5646UC01X supports a TinyWire,Ñ¢ single-wire digital interface for programming various parameters, including LED current rise and fall times, as well as on and off durations for up to two different pulse widths. It includes built-in protections against short circuits, under-voltage, and thermal issues, ensuring reliable operation.
