RASPBERRY PI GOES INDUSTRIAL
The Factor 202 is a compact industrial controller, powered by the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4). In contrast to the standard Raspberry Pi 4, the CM4 uses industrial, fully standardized components that provide a longer life cycle and better thermal management. Integrating the CM4 allows the Factor 202 to bring the flexibility, ease of prototyping, and palm-sized performance of Raspberry Pi ARM computing to the industrial edge. At the heart of Factor 202 is a Quad-Core Cortex-A72 (ARM v8) 64-bit SoC. You can configure the system with up to 8 GB of RAM, 32 GB of onboard eMMC storage and an M.2 SATA drive up to 2 TB. ENGINEERED FOR RELIABILITY
Raspberry Pi has long been a popular choice for prototyping industrial projects. But once those solutions move to mass production, it's traditionally been necessary to transition to a platform designed specifically for industrial use. The Factor 202 overcomes that need by providing an industrial-grade Raspberry Pi solution, engineered for challenging automation applications. Fanless, solid state construction, an operating temperature range of -20° to 60°C, wide input power range, and industrial components with long lifecycles, make Factor 202 an ideal industrial deployment platform. In order to make installation even easier, the system offers power over ethernet power delivery, meaning power and networking can be provided to the system over a single cable.
INDUSTRY-FOCUSED I/O
Connectivity is key to any industrial project. Our custom carrier board inside Factor 202 gives you dual 1 GbE LAN ports, 1 RS-232/422/485 terminal block connector, 1 USB 3.2 port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI port and 1 USB-C management port used to configure the CM4 module. In addition, 16x digital inputs and 16x digital outputs, as well as 4x analog inputs and 2x analog outputs and a 2.7" capacitive touch screen, put you in full control of every aspect of your installation. Integrated DIN rail and wall mounting options let you install Factor 202 anywhere you need it. The system meets RoHS, FCC, CE, VCCI, RCM, UL, and CB regulatory requirements, as well as EMC requirements for IT, Industrial, and medical applications, further speeding ease of integration and time to market.
CELLULAR CONNECTIVITY
This system can be configured with an integrated cellular modem, pre-certified to operate on many of the world’s most popular cellular carrier networks using a SIM card. Our 4G capable hardware is ideal for today's mobile, edge computing, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications. The wireless connectivity has been tested to operate reliably in challenging Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) environments (EN 300 328, EN 301 908-2, EN 301 489-17, EN 301 489-52). Many of our systems also include co-location options allowing you to implement Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, in addition to cellular connectivity, at the same time. To take advantage of cellular connectivity, simply configure your system with one of our available cellular modems and then contact your carrier to activate.
