Vent Plugs with Filters can be used to relieve pressure or vacuum on bearing housings, gear boxes, reservoirs, or any application where venting is necessary. These vent plugs assure pressure equalization and minimize undesirable problems, such as bearing seal blowout due to excessive pressure.
The body of the vent plug is brass and has a 3/8" Male NPT. The vent allows air to communicate freely through a 40 micron cellulose filter. It is 1 1/16” in height and has a 3/4” hex.
To remove and clean the filter, simply unscrew the hex cap on top. A cost-effective replacement filter is readily available (part no. B751-16).
