The base and ring are molded of high density ceramic. The winding is uniform to maintain maximum resolution and power dissipation. The insulator is molded of high density, porcelain/ceramic. Three terminals permit use as a potentiometer, or a rheostat. Durable ceramic cement coating provides the bonding medium necessary to securely attach the ring and base together and to lock the windings from shifting. 300° rotation.
