NU-560 Total Exhaust Biological Safety Cabinet (BSC) may be used for work with non-flammable, non-explosive volatile chemicals and radionuclides by providing personnel, product, and environmental protection by exhausting 100% of contaminated air. LabGard® ES offers economical operation through the use of an ultra-high efficiency motor to maximize filter life and monolithic silicone-free construction for long product life all for an affordable price. Safety Exhaust Interlock Model NU-560 features an exhaust interlock system that prevents operation of the internal supply blower unless the exhaust flow is sufficient to provide the correct air barrier inflow velocity at startup. 100% Total Exhaust LabGard TE is a Total Exhaust Class II, Type B2 Biosafety Cabinet exhausting 100% of airflow through a facility’s HVAC system. Technology TouchLink Electronic Control System (ECS) The TouchLink ECS is a color touch screen providing simple operation of cabinet functions. Control blower DC ECM Motor via solid-state DC Motor Controller that provides automatic compensation (constant volume control) for both filter loading and line voltage variances. Intelliflow™ - Fast, accurate, reliable dual thermistor, airflow sensors and digital differential velocity pressure flow grid powered by TSI to control and monitor cabinet airflows to set points. Control lights via solid state switch. Control outlets via solid state switch. Display date/time w/battery backup. Display alarm set points high/low for error conditions (downflow/inflow). Display complete calibration, option menu and diagnostic functions. Security password protection of cabinet use. Night setback mode. Used to reduce exhaust volume during non-use times. Allows Building Automation System (BAS) contact closure input for cabinet indication of night setback mode. Autorun timer allows the cabinet to turn on and off on a daily basis automatically. Timer/Interlock functions for fluorescent light, outlet, and ultraviolet light. Ultra-High Efficiency Motor A single ultra-high efficiency motor with optimally determine forward curved fan uses less energy to operate while containing more torque to extend the life of your HEPA filters. LED Lighting Externally mounted, energy-efficient LED lighting provides 80 to 150 foot-candles (860 to 1600 LUX) on work surface. Ergonomics LabGard TE is ergonomically designed for maximum user comfort and adjustability to meet the requirements of the American Disabilities Act (ADA.) Heavy-duty plastic armrest incorporating a large 2 inch (51mm) forearm support area with 1/2 inch (12mm) recessed front grill, designed for armrest comfort while maintaining containment performance. Maximum visibility into cabinet work zone shall be at least 20-1/2 inches (521mm) from front access airfoil to exterior light housing. Model NU-560 features a centrally located instrument panel within the control center that is easily serviced with quick disconnects. The capability of incorporating a user-adjustable base stand or base storage cabinet as an option. The cabinet features a smooth operating sliding window from 1.125 inches (29mm) closed to the full opening at 18-1/2 inches (470mm). Cabinet offers a large work tray (20 3/4 inch (527mm) depth) removable with coved corners for easy cleaning. NU-560 provides a 10-degree slope front window for enhanced user comfort. Construction Single Piece Monolithic Cabinet Shell At the core of any LabGard BSC is the cabinet’s shell. Robust sheets of stainless steel are bent, folded, and seam welded to create a pressure tight, a monolithic design minimizing the use of sealants.
