DRECOTM Slingshot substructures
The drill floor with the drawworks and mast installed and erected is raised to working position using hydraulic cylinder or winches.

Box-on-Box substructures
Substructure boxes are stacked on top of each other to create a stable substructure. The top box can serve as the rig floor or a separate floor can be stacked separately.

Telescoping substructures
The floor is attached to the base of the substructure; the supports connect the floor to the base in the same respective locations. The base remains stationary and the floor telescopes directly up to working position.

Box-in-Box substructures
The substructure is composed of two outside boxes placed parallel to each other, connected at the tops by a center drill floor. Each outside box contains an inner box. Hydraulic cylinders within the boxes raise the outer boxes vertically above the inner boxes. Outer boxes are latched in place to bring drill floor to working position.
