NACE International SSPC VIS 4/NACE VIS 7, Guide and Visual Reference Photographs for Steel Cleaned by Waterjetting 22016

This booklet contains full-color photographs depicting the appearance of mill scale-free, unpainted, rusted carbon steel prior to and after cleaning by waterjetting. These pictures are intended to supplement NACE No. 5/SSPC-SP 12 on high- and ultrahigh-pressure waterjetting prior to recoating, and are also applicable to surfaces produced by a wide range of waterjetting pressures. This booklet can be used as a reference to clarify the level of flash rusting that is acceptable prior to the application of protective coatings over uncoated or previously coated surfaces.
