NACE International RP0792-HD1992-SG Standard Format for Computerized Close Interval Survey Data-HD1992 21059-HD1992

Description
The purpose of this recommended practice is to provide a standard format for close interval potential survey data to allow transfer between different software packages or computer systems. This will minimize difficulty in using various programs to analyze or graph data and allow for comparison of data gathered for a given pipeline segment at different times, regardless of the software system used to collect it. The format outlined is the commonly used ASCII comma delimited text file, which is adaptable to all data processing systems. Data collection and testing procedures shall conform with the most current version of NACE RP0169 (latest revision), "Control of External Corrosion on Underground or Submerged Metallic Piping Systems," and recommended NACE test methods for the accurate measurement of cathodic protection pipe-to-soil potential measurements. This NACE recommended practice was prepared by NACE Work Group T-10A-17a, a subgroup of Task Group T-10A-17 on The Use of Computer Technology in Cathodic Protection which is a component of Unit Committee T-1 0A on Cathodic Protection. It is issued by NACE under the auspices of Group Committee T-10 on Underground Corrosion Control. T-10A-17 is composed of corrosion engineers and other people experienced in the collecting and processing of close interval survey data. Historical Document 1997
