Century Spring Corp. BB Series Disc Springs BB-R-2

Description
A disc spring (sometimes called a "Belleville washer" after the inventor) consists primarily of a convex disc supported at the outer periphery by one force and an opposing force on the center of the disc. Disc springs are used singly, or in stacks, to achieve a desired load and travel. The advantage of a disc spring is that it generates high force in a very short spring length and with minimal movement when compressed. All Century Spring disc springs are subject to exacting manufacturing and quality control standards. All discs are preset so that they will not significantly relax under load over time. Century Spring also offers pre-stressed disc springs specifically sized for use with bolts.

Powered by GS/AI

BB-R-2 is a disc spring from the BB Series by Century Spring Corp., specifically designed for use as a preloading spring with radial ball bearings. This spring helps maintain positioning accuracy of the bearing, eliminating end play, and reduces vibration and shaft deflection. The BB-R-2 is made from C1075 steel, featuring a Rockwell hardness of C40-51, which contributes to its durability and performance under load. The dimensions include an outer diameter of 0.366 inches, an inner diameter of 0.228 inches, and a thickness of 0.008 inches. It is capable of handling a load of 5.90 lbs at a deflection of 0.006 inches. This product is suitable for applications requiring increased bearing rigidity and reduced running noise.
