TIP142 is an NPN Darlington transistor designed for general-purpose amplifier and low-speed switching applications. It features a collector-emitter voltage rating of 100 V minimum, a continuous collector current of 10 A, and a maximum power dissipation of 125 W at 25°C case temperature. The device has a collector-emitter saturation voltage of 2 V maximum at 5 A collector current and 3 V at 10 A. Thermal resistance from junction to case is 1 °C/W. It is housed in a TO-247 (3P) package with monolithic construction and a built-in base-emitter shunt resistor. Operating and storage junction temperature ranges from -65°C to +150°C.
