The MJ2501 is a PNP Darlington transistor for use as an output device in general purpose amplifier applications. It is packaged in a TO-3 case with a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 80V and a continuous collector current of 10A. The device dissipates up to 150W at 25°C, with a thermal resistance junction-to-case of 1.17°C/W. It features a typical DC current gain of 1,000 at 5A collector current and includes built-in base-emitter shunt resistors. The operating and storage junction temperature range is -55°C to +200°C.
