The MPQ7230GLE-AEC1-P is a fixed-frequency, constant current buck-boost LED driver designed for infrared LED applications. It supports a wide input voltage range of 6V to 42V and can deliver up to 1.2A of continuous output current in buck-boost mode, or 3A in buck mode. The driver features PWM dimming capabilities with frequencies ranging from 10Hz to 2kHz, and is compatible with 30FPS, 60FPS, and 120FPS dimming. This device utilizes constant frequency hysteretic control for fast transient response and requires minimal external components. It includes comprehensive protection features such as over-current protection, thermal derating, and thermal shutdown. The MPQ7230 is housed in a compact QFN-19 (3mm x 4mm) package and is AEC-Q100 qualified, making it suitable for automotive applications. Its low RDS(ON) internal power MOSFETs contribute to high efficiency and improved thermal performance.
