The MP44014-AGS-P is a boundary conduction mode power factor correction (PFC) controller designed for high-performance active power-factor correction with minimal external components. It features a high-performance voltage-mode amplifier that accurately regulates the output voltage and includes precise adjustable output over-voltage protection, enhancing system reliability. This controller operates with an ultra-low start-up current of 15OºA and a low quiescent current of 0.46mA at over-voltage protection conditions, contributing to excellent efficiency. The on-chip R/C filter on the current sense pin may eliminate the need for an external filter, simplifying design. The device supports a peak gate-drive current of -750/+800mA and includes enable/disable functionality along with open-loop protection. The MP44014-AGS-P is suitable for various applications, including offline adapters, electronic ballasts, LLC front ends, and other PFC pre-regulators. It is packaged in a SOIC-8 format and adheres to RoHS directives, ensuring it is lead-free and halogen-free.
