The MP3388DR-LF-Z is a step-up LED driver designed for driving white LED arrays in large LCD panel backlighting applications. It operates with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 25V and can generate an output voltage of up to 50V. The device features eight independent current sources, providing a current matching accuracy of 3% between LED strings, which enhances uniformity in brightness. This LED driver supports selectable switching frequencies of 1.25MHz or 625kHz, allowing for flexibility in design. It incorporates external PWM dimming capabilities, enabling precise control over backlighting luminance. The MP3388DR-LF-Z also includes protective features such as programmable over-voltage protection, under-voltage lockout, and thermal shutdown to ensure reliable operation.
