The MP2223GJ-Z is a dual-channel, synchronous step-down switching regulator capable of delivering up to 3A from channel one and 2A from channel two. It operates over a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 18V and features low R_DS(ON) internal power MOSFETs, which contribute to its efficiency. The device employs 180¬8 out-of-phase operation to reduce input capacitor requirements and minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI). Key protection features include over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), and thermal shutdown, ensuring reliable operation under various conditions. The MP2223GJ-Z also incorporates a power-save mode for improved efficiency at light loads and has adjustable output voltages starting from 0.8V. It is housed in a compact 8-pin TSOT23 package, making it suitable for space-constrained applications such as notebook systems, digital set-top boxes, and flat-panel televisions.
