MCA - Advanced Materials Division Fluorosint® 500 PTFE

Description
Fluorosint® 500 Polytetrafluoroethyl ene PTFE shapes possess a unique combination of stability and wear resistance, for sealing applications where tight dimensional control is required. With nine times greater resistance to deformation under load than unfilled PTFE, Fluorosint® 500 PTFE exhibits outstanding chemical and hydrolysis resistance, and excellent mechanical and tribological properties. Additionally, Fluorosint® 500 PTFE’s coefficient of linear thermal expansion approaches the expansion rate of aluminum and is 1/4 that of virgin PTFE, which often eliminates fit and clearance problems for designers.
