The Spiralift mechanism is located inside the base at the clevis end of the scissors lift, driven by a gear motor with instantaneous brake, and stabilized by the scissors leg assembly. As with other mechanical lifts, predetermined work elevations can be programmed with the use of a transducer or encoder and a PLC motor controller.
