VBS Mechanical Scissors Lift – Vertical Ball Screw Actuated Lift that Provides Repeatable, Programmable, and Clean Lifting VBS Vertical Ball Screw scissors lifts offer dependable mechanical lifting solutions by supporting the scissors table and load from beneath and raising with a vertical ball screw actuator. Mechanical ball screws provide a high degree of precision and repeatability, and can be used in single or multiple screws to vary load capacity. The ball screw actuator is mounted at the clevis end of the scissors lift, driven by a gear motor with instantaneous brake, and stabilized by the scissors leg assembly. The actuator can be mounted below grade to provide 4-sided deck access, or above grade if 3-sided deck access is acceptable. Vertical Ball Screw scissors lifts provide the most cost-effective and low-profile of all the mechanical scissors lift solutions. As with other mechanical lifts, predetermined work elevations can be programmed with the use of a transducer or encoder and a PLC motor controller.
