The S-8243BAEFT-TB-G is a battery management IC designed for lithium-ion and lithium polymer rechargeable battery packs, capable of protecting 3-series or 4-series cell configurations. It features high-accuracy voltage detection for overcharge and overdischarge conditions, with adjustable detection and release voltages. The device includes three levels of overcurrent protection, including short-circuit protection, and allows for customizable delay times for various detection mechanisms. This IC operates within a voltage range of 6 V to 18 V and has a wide temperature range of -40¬8C to +85¬8C. It consumes low current, with a maximum operation mode current of 120 ¬µA and a power-down mode current of 0.1 ¬µA. The S-8243BAEFT-TB-G also integrates a battery monitor amplifier and a voltage regulator outputting 3.3 V, making it suitable for applications requiring precise battery management and monitoring.
