The S-8204BBF-TCT1U is a battery protection IC designed for 3-series or 4-series lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs. This IC includes discharge overcurrent detection with three selectable voltage levels and a load short-circuit detection feature. The delay times for overcharge and overdischarge detection can be set using an external capacitor, while the load short-circuit detection has a fixed delay. The S-8204BBF-TCT1U operates within a wide voltage range of 2 V to 22 V and can withstand up to 24 V. It has a low current consumption of 33 ¬µA during operation and 0.1 ¬µA in power-down mode, making it suitable for energy-efficient applications.
