The S-8204BBF-TCT1U is a battery protection IC designed for 3-series or 4-series lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs. It features high-accuracy voltage detection for overcharge and overdischarge conditions, with adjustable detection voltages ranging from 3.65 V to 4.6 V for overcharge and 2.0 V to 3.0 V for overdischarge. The device supports cascade connections, allowing for the protection of larger battery configurations. This IC includes discharge overcurrent detection with three selectable voltage levels and a load short-circuit detection feature. The delay times for overcharge and overdischarge detection can be set using an external capacitor, while the load short-circuit detection has a fixed delay.
