AlphaSan® antimicrobial additive from Milliken uses the power of silver to protect a wide variety of products against bacteria and other microbes. On untreated surfaces, bacteria can reproduce and continue reproducing, causing foul odors, discoloration, corrosion, and other problems. On surfaces treated with AlphaSan technology, bacteria may still be present at first, but they are dosed with silver ions that interfere with their metabolism, thereby preventing their reproduction and spread.
