The RN2903A-I/RM105 is a low-power, long-range transceiver module utilizing LoRa technology, designed for wireless data transmission in the 915 MHz frequency band. It features an on-board LoRaWAN protocol stack and an ASCII command interface over UART, facilitating easy integration into various applications. The module has a compact form factor of 17.8 x 26.7 x 3.34 mm and is RoHS compliant. Operationally, the RN2903A-I/RM105 supports a single operating voltage range of 2.1V to 3.6V, with a typical voltage of 3.3V, and operates within a temperature range of -40¬8C to +85¬8C. It offers low power consumption and a programmable RF communication bit rate of up to 300 kbps with FSK modulation, and 12.5 kbps with LoRa modulation. The module integrates a microcontroller, crystal, EUI-64 node identity serial EEPROM, and radio transceiver with matching circuitry. The transceiver boasts high receiver sensitivity down to -146 dBm and adjustable transmit power up to +18.5 dBm, enabling coverage of up to 15 km in suburban areas and 5 km in urban environments. It includes 14 GPIOs for control and status, which can also serve as analog inputs, making it suitable for applications such as automated meter reading, home automation, security systems, industrial monitoring, and IoT solutions.
