The MRF553G is an NPN RF transistor designed for wideband large signal stages in the VHF range, housed in a Power Macro surface mount package. It operates at a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 16 Vdc and a collector current of 500 mA, with a total device dissipation of 3.0 W at 75°C. At 175 MHz and 12.5 V, it delivers 1.5 W output power with a minimum gain of 11.5 dB and typical efficiency of 60%.
