The MIC23150-SYMT-TR is a synchronous buck regulator designed for high efficiency and compact applications. It operates at a switching frequency of 4MHz and can deliver up to 2A output current. The device features HyperLight Load mode, which enhances efficiency at light loads and provides rapid transient response, making it suitable for powering processor core voltages. The regulator supports an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and achieves peak efficiencies of 93% in continuous conduction mode and 87% at 1mA in discontinuous mode. The MIC23150-SYMT-TR is housed in a small 8-pin 2mm vó 2mm Thin DFN package, allowing for a compact solution with a total height of less than 1mm. It requires only three external components and can utilize small inductors down to 0.47¬µH and output capacitors as low as 2.2¬µF. The device also features low quiescent current of 23¬µA and a shutdown current of 0.01¬µA, along with thermal shutdown and current limit protection. The operating junction temperature range is from -40¬8C to +125¬8C, making it suitable for various applications including mobile handsets, portable media players, and wireless modules.
